To power their attacks, thieves rely on a resource called initiative, which regenerates over time. Weapon skills cost initiative points, but they have no recharge time, so thieves can use them back-to-back. This allows thieves to stay flexible and responsive in combat and unleash a rapid flurry of powerful attacks.
Thieves use the Steal skill to create useful weapons based on the opponents they’re fighting at the time. When thieves steal from moa birds, they might get feathers that they can throw to blind their enemies. Stealing does not break stealth, but it cannot be used often.
When using a main-hand and off-hand weapon combination, thieves have access to a spectacular Dual Skill that is determined by their weapons. Thieves with two daggers receive the Leaping Death Blossom skill, but thieves with a dagger/pistol combo receive Shadow Shot, which allows them to teleport to their target.
