Berlin’s historic Tempelhof Airport has been restored to its open, cavernous calm in the wake of the biggest Campus Party on record since its 1997 launch.

The week-long, 24-hours-a-day tech festival saw crowds swelling to 10,000 from 77 countries. Campus Party-goers — hackers, developers, gamers, and geeks — camped on-site from Aug. 21 to 26 and immersed themselves in a truly unique environment.

VentureBeat’s Berlin-based syndication partner VentureVillage was there to catch the color and action — meeting anyone from the creator of the web to robot soccer stars. Enjoy!
