SAN FRANCISCO — Ge Wang leads the creative teams that come up with zany music apps for Apple’s iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) products at Smule, the social-music developer. The chief creative officer and chief technology officer was at Apple’s launch event yesterday for the iPhone 5, and here’s his take on the new product.
“I definitely want one, and maybe 20 of them,” he said.
Wang’s company is pretty prolific. Smule’s products include Sing!, AutoRap, Ocarina 2, Beatstream, Magic Guitar, MadPad, Magic Piano, Glee, I Am T-Pain, and Ocarina. You can be that the company will create some more of what Wang calls “musical mayhem” for the iPhone 5.
