PlayStation Network’s Spelunker HD getting brutal new downloadable stages

Hope you’re prepared for some 2D fortune and glory, kid.

Developer Tozai Games announced today that it’s unleashing even more levels for its cave-diving platformer Spelunker HD on the PlayStation Network. The stages come in downloadable content packs EX9 and EX10, which debut Oct. 3.

“These new levels are possibly the toughest created to date, in a game that is already considered one of the most challenging of all time!” Tozai co-founder Scott Tsumura said in a press release. “Yet our fans keep begging for more, so we’re excited to have so much new content for them.”

PlayStation Plus members may purchase the game and all of its DLC packs for 50 percent off beginning Oct. 2. This deal lasts for two weeks.
