Dishonored isn’t a Choose Your Own Adventure game, but this trailer is

I can never decide anything. Take this interactive Dishonored video for example. Should I sneak past the enemies? Should I use magic? Or maybe I should beat them senseless with violence.

While I’m sitting here paralyzed with choice, why don’t you give the Dishonored: Path to Revenge video a try?

Publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios’ are releasing the game next week on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $59.99. That gives you a few days to prepare for the many choices that the first-person stealth-action adventure presents you with.

As an aid — and maybe to promote the release just a bit — Bethesda created this interactive trailer that allows players to choose their own path in the world of Dishonored. Y’know, like those old Choose Your Own Adventure books that tell you to turn to certain pages for different choices.

In the video (and the game,) players take the role of Corvo Attano, a superpowered bodyguard to the Empress of Dunwall, which is a fictionalized version of London. Someone else murders the empress and frames Attano for the crime. To clear his name, Attano must dive into Dunwall’s grungy underworld.

Before you click the play button, know that this is an actual Dishonored mission that some could consider a spoiler. You have been warned.

Here is the interactive video:

How did you choose?
