GameStop to get exclusive The Walking Dead: Collector’s Edition from Telltale Games

The Walking Dead adventure title from developer Telltale Games is going to get a special edition retail release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

On December 4 for $29.99, players can pick up the first five episodes of The Walking Dead on one physical disc. Retailers across the country will carry the standard version of this zombie game.

The Walking Dead: Collector’s Edition is available exclusively at GameStop. Telltale claims that it’s producing this special version in extremely limited quantities. Customers will only be able to get their hands on this $59.99 bundle with a pre-order.

The Collector’s Edition contains the following:

  • The game disc with the first five episodes.
  • Special box art from Charlie Adlard, who illustrates the comic-book series.
  • Exclusive version of The Walking Dead Compendium One (containing the first 48 comics in the series), with exclusive art from Charlie Adlard.

Separately, the compendium retails for $59.99, the same price as the Collector’s Edition. Image Comics, the publisher of the books, won’t sell this version of the compendium outside of this game package.
