VentureBeat is looking for a talented professional who will assist our business team as an intern.
You’ll assist on every major aspect of our business, from sales and sponsorship fulfillment, to event logistics and content, marketing, and mobile integration.
VentureBeat is a popular news site, with significant traffic and industry-leading events. But behind the scenes, we’re still a small company that entrusts significant responsibilities to all of our team members. So this is a great opportunity to jump right in and take over projects that are key to our business. VentureBeat’s media business deals with the Silicon Valley ecosystem, so working here is an awesome way to get front-row access to how this dynamic place works.
We provide a fun, energetic startup environment in downtown San Francisco, with panoramic views from the 32nd floor of our 50 California Street offices in San Francisco.
This is a paid position, but no benefits — although there’s potential for a full-time staff job later if you show your stuff.
As for you: You’re a highly intelligent, efficient go-getter who can multitask and communicate well in a team environment. You have an interest in business operations, and master productivity suites (such as Microsoft Office or iWork), and other web app technologies. Ideally, you’ll have had several years of experience working in a professional office environment. Finally, check out our lineup of executive level events, as you’ll also be supporting our team on multiple levels of their execution. We’re blowing out our events business next year, adding three new events, HealthBeat, DevBeat and DataBeat, to the existing roster of MobileBeat, Mobile Summit, GamesBeat and CloudBeat.
If interested, please contact us at Business@VentureBeat.com, and write “Business intern” in the subject line.
