I enjoy a good speedrun. I love watching someone who’s infinitely better at video games than I am beat one of my favorites in a ridiculously short amount of time. Now, I considered myself a pretty decent Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater player, but I’m questioning my manhood after watching YouTube user GeorgeThePlushie beat the third installment of the series in 3 minutes, 55 seconds.
Mr. ThePlushie claims this run of the PC version of the 2001 classic is completely natural, meaning he didn’t use any cheats or tool-assisting software. Now, he doesn’t complete 100 percent the game, but he does earn medals in all three of THPS3’s competitions. He does this by smartly completing only the minimum number of challenges necessary to unlock new levels.
Really, you need to just see the video for yourself, especially if the thought of linking a 540 tailwhip into a manual tickles your nostalgia bone. Thanks to Akumies, who’s post on Reddit introduced us to this tubular speedrun.
