Ubisoft just released brand-new key art for the next installment of Assassin’s Creed, and Kotaku’s anonymous tipster was right on the money.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag clearly takes place in the age of pirates with a new assassin at the helm. In fact, Ubisoft showed us several videos and gave us an in-depth, hour-long briefing and interview on the game last week, but all those details are under embargo until Monday, March 4, at 9:00 a.m. PST.
So at present, we can’t even tell you that handsome fellow’s name, although franchise superfans might make an educated guess. Notice those four pistols he’s packing? We’re going to explain how they fit into the combat system. That assassin-themed Jolly Rodger off in the background? We know how very different the ship flying it is from Assassin’s Creed III’s sloop-of-war, the Aquila. Desmond? Yep, we’ve got info on what’s going on there, too.
