If you like Deadpool, you might describe him as hip and irreverent. If you don’t really care for him, you’ll find this trailer brash and obnoxious.
Developer High Moon Studios published the new trailer for its Deadpool game this morning. The video has a lot of the character’s signature in-your-face humor and disrespect for the fourth wall, but it also has quite a few shots his game in action. Things look a lot like God of War or maybe even that Wolverine: Origins game for a few years back.
Deadpool is due out this summer for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. High Moon Studios previously worked on games like the generally well-reviewed Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and Transformers: War for Cybertron.

I wouldn’t describe that as subtle, but that’s kind of the point. Deadpool’s current fans would hate it if his game was some tame attempt to reach a mass audience. Better to please the people who will buy it no matter what than to try to win over skeptics. Besides, the best way to get more people to play is to just make this game fun to play.
