Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition dev: You choose what Android device you want it on

The Android OS is fragmented across scores of devices and a half-dozen different operating system versions. That turns off developers, so one is asking which tablet they should optimize for.

Developer Overhaul Games launched a poll on its Baldur’s Gate forums that asks fans which Android tablet it should focus its efforts on. Not surprisingly, Google’s own Nexus 7 has over 40 percent of the vote. The other Google tablet, the Nexus 10, has another 19 percent.

Overhaul’s poll has 10 different devices from vendors like Samsung, Asus, and Motorola. The studio opened voting earlier today — only around 350 people voted so far.

Fragmentation Android

Voting is still open and fans can still request other devices in the comments.

Overhaul Games, along with publisher Atari, released Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition for PC in November and then on iPad in December. The game is a remake of the classic Dungeons & Dragons PC role-playing game.
