Pikachu 3DS XL coming to the U.S. on March 24

Nintendo’s beloved yellow electric rat has found his way to the chassis of another portable gaming device.

Pikachu will adorn a new yellow version of the 3DS XL due out March 24. The unit will accompany the release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity at retail. Fans can get their hands on the cute new handheld for $199.99 at Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, and GameStop.

Nintendo claims that quantities are limited, so if you have a thing for Pikachu, you may want to get on this sooner rather than later.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is the latest in the long-running Pokémon side-series of rougelike adventures. It’s the first Mystery Dungeon game to feature 3D characters.

In October, Nintendo plans to debut Pokémon X and Y. These 3DS games mark the latest generation of Pokémon titles and the first original entries made specifically for Nintendo’s 3D handheld.
