Russian travel site OneTwoTrip has purchased young hotel analytics startup DealAngel for its team and technology, the companies said today.

DealAngel analyzes historical hotel pricing data and uses that to help you find the best possible price on your hotel room. The startup initially launched at DEMO Spring 2012 and then graduated from Boulder, Colo.’s TechStars program in Aug. 2012. DealAngel cofounders Roman Peskin, Bob Rogers, and Oleg Zaidiner will all join the OneTwoTrip team.

OneTwoTrip has seen a lot of growth in the past year and expanded its travel booking services to include a German version in May. It has raised $25 million in funding. While OneTwoTrip mostly focuses on helping people book flights, it said it wants DealAngel’s team and tech to help bolster its hotel product.

“The depth of industry experience and vision of the DealAngel team are what really convinced us,” OneTwoTrip CEO Peter Kutis said in a statement. “We are very much looking forward to getting the DealAngel team onboard and bringing our hotel product to the next level.”

Prior to today, DealAngel had raised a little less than $1 million from Foresight Ventures, Bright Capital, and TechStars. While the exact price paid for DealAngel wasn’t disclosed, a source close to the deal told VentureBeat that investors made close to a 3X return.
