Another year doesn’t mean just another Assassin’s Creed game — it also means a few new maps and characters for the franchise’s aging multiplayer mode.

Assassin’s Creed multiplayer puts players into a training simulation where they must track down an opponent while simultaneously evading an enemy that’s hunting them. Everyone is a cat, and everyone is also a mouse.
Ubisoft introduced the mode in 2010’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Black Flag will make the fourth game in the franchise to feature this style of multiplayer.
