NBA 2K14 preorder comparison and next-gen offers

This sponsored post is produced by Dealzon.

Update 9/27: NBA 2K14 is now available for pre-order on the PC too! Best deal on NBA 2K14 we’ve found is only $22.50 after coupon (Steam key) – significantly cheaper than the console counterparts. Yet another reason for superiority complex from the PC master race…

Next week’s big release NBA 2K14 may not have a slam dunk preorder offer, but at Best Buy, there’s at least enough razzle dazzle to make it worth your while. All copies get the King James DLC pack, which aside from bonus content includes an instant unlock of LeBron in Blacktop mode. You’ll also get $10 in rewards certificates for Best Buy Rewards Zone members (free to sign up), and if you order for the PS3 and add a 12 month PSN subscription card, you’ll also get $10 off.

If you preorder for the Xbox ONE and PS4, it doesn’t say you get the King James DLC (but you probably do), in addition to the $10 in rewards certificates, you’ll also get an additional 149 reward points if you order with a Best Buy credit card. That comes out to $3 (making a total of $13 bonus) if you grab the next-gen versions.

Scribble me this! The fifth Scribblenauts series title released on Tuesday, adding over 2000 DC Comics characters to the franchise. For some reason, the PC download version has a puzzlingly huge discount. Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comic Adventure became available for $35.99 on Steam with a limited time 10% discount (MSRP is $39.99). Everywhere else, the $35.99 price is all you get, but at the UK-based digital retailer Green Man Gaming, they have the game listed at $29.99 with a 10% discount to $26.99. On top of that, GMG has a 25% off coupon that drops the price to $20.25, making the title a solid $15.74 cheaper than Steam or anywhere else. A 49% discount on its release week.

Another hit release this week was FIFA 14. Savvy PC gamers can receive a bonus $8 credit or $5 cash back bonus if they order from Green Man Gaming. Taking the cash back effectively drops the price of the game from $39.99 to $34.99 – quite a bit cheaper compared to the pricing across the pond in the UK. There PC gamers are asked to pay £39.99 – equivalent to $64.03 in today’s (Sep. 26) US dollars.
