The key brains behind the PlayStation 4 will be the keynote speakers at this year’s Develop conference in Brighton, England.

President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House and lead PlayStation 4 system architect Mark Cerny will be there to deliver a talk called “20 Years of PlayStation, 40 Years of Console Games, and 100 Years to Come, on July 9.

“It is hard to believe it has been 20 years since the arrival of the first PlayStation,” House said to “Mark Cerny and I will look back over this fantastic period in which console gaming became mainstream, how our experiences shaped PlayStation 4 and where the industry will go from here.”

Cerny will also receive the Development Legend award at this year’s Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

“We learned a lot of lessons over the past 20 years which shaped the decisions taken in designing PlayStation 4,” said Cerny, who gave a revealing keynote talk at Develop last year.

The conference will be July 8 to July 10 in at the Brighton Hilton. Other speakers include Siobhan Reddy of Media Molecule, Roberta Lucca of Bossa Studios, and Stuart Saw of Twitch.
