Acquia today announced in a blog post that it has closed a new round of funding totaling $50 million. Acquia said it will use the new funding for growth is sales and marketing efforts, as well as focus on its big data marketing, personalization, and commerce offerings.

San Mateo, Calif.-based Apixio wants to fill that need by crunching a lot of existing clinical data, providing healthcare organizations with the intel they need to accurately estimate patient risk. That enables providers to more accurately (and profitably) bill for their services. Investors are getting behind the concept by infusing Apixio with $13.5 million in new capital.

…one of them is Aver Informatics, which has developed a data management platform used by hospitals and other health care providers to simplify the process of billing insurance payers. The company has been getting some traction, and Tuesday announced that it has taken $8.5 million in new funding.

Thatgamecompany, the creator of the Journey and Flower games on the PlayStation 3, has announced a $7 million round of funding from China’s Capital Today.

Patient Pay takes $2.5M
PatientPay, a startup that offers cloud-based patient billing and payment services, secured a $2.5 million round of funding today. The new round was led by Mosaik Partners, and brings the startup’s total funding to $6 million.
