Industry Veteran Brings More Than 20 Years of Leadership Experience to Newly Created Role

OpenX Technologies, Inc. (OpenX), a global leader in web and mobile advertising technology, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Tish Whitcraft to the newly created role of chief customer officer. In the new role, Whitcraft will lead OpenX’s partner services team, including all of the Company’s support, sales engineering, and customer operations, and will also be responsible for the overall monetization growth and success of the Company’s partners. Whitcraft will become a member of OpenX’s executive team and will report to Company president, John Gentry. The appointment is effective immediately.

As chief customer officer, Whitcraft will be at the center of managing OpenX’s publisher experience. She will play an ongoing role in delivering on OpenX’s constant commitment to maximizing publisher revenue and to providing positive, proactive experiences for every partner. Whitcraft will also oversee new product rollouts and implementation for the publishers and app developers who use any part of the OpenX platform, including its ad exchange, ad server, and supply side platform.
Whitcraft comes to OpenX with more than 20 years of experience building and leading innovative, customer-driven ecosystems. Before joining OpenX, Whitcraft was chief customer officer at Tagged, a social discovery network with 300 million members, for which she ran all business operations, including product, advertising, sales, and customer experience and led the company’s transition to mobile first. Prior to Tagged, she was senior vice president, customer experience and operations, at MySpace/Fox Interactive Media, where she played a key role in transitioning that company from its origins as a social network to its emergence as a media and entertainment-distribution platform. At MySpace, Whitcraft had full responsibility for the global user experience across all products, leading a team that supported more than 250 million users. Previously, she was vice president, customer care and operations, at Yahoo! where she led all global customer operations for that company’s 850 million user base in 48 markets and 68 product categories, including contact center operations, customer technology, customer experience, customer experience vision and strategy, and a team of more than 3,600. Whitcraft holds a B.S. in Business from California State Polytechnic University.
