Fable Legends lets you torment your friends

LOS ANGELES — Talk amongst yourselves as your take on you epic quest in Fable Legends. And screw over your friends.

Microsoft showed off the Fable Legends at its Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing this morning. It’s a four-player co-op role-playing game for the Xbox One. It features action similar to past entries in the franchise (with melee, projectile, and magic attacks), but with a new focus on teamwork and characters that love to talk.

And talk.

However, Fable Legends also lets you play as the villain, which enables you do a bit of level-designing and place traps and enemies. It’s sort of like being the dungeon master while your friends play the hero.

Microsoft gave no release date, but the multiplayer beta will begin this fall.
