Pete Worden

S. Pete Worden was named director of NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., in April, 2006. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a brigadier general in 2004 after 29 years. Dr. Worden has a doctorate in astronomy and prior to coming to Ames, served as a research professor of astronomy at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
