GamesBeat Bitmob Wants You: To write about Resistance 3, Dead Island, or Madden NFL 12 September 7, 2011 9:00 PM Layton Shumway This post has not been edited by the GamesBeat staff. Opinions by GamesBeat community writers do not necessarily reflect those of the staff. So let's talk, Bitmob. How are things? Whatever happened to that nice young gal/fellow you were dating? What are you playing these days? OK, we're really only asking that last part. See, a bunch of new games have hit store shelves in the last few weeks, and we want to hear what you think of them. Specifically, we're looking for articles about new PS3 sci-fi shooter Resistance 3, zombie action-RPG Dead Island, and the latest iteration of Madden. Are you playing these titles or planning to pick them up this week? Good. That's what we like to hear. That means you can be part of our jumbo-sized Bitmob Wants You callout. If you want to do a standard review, that's cool by us, but we're also looking for more creative angles. (See yesterday's Madden comic by Bitmob writer Jeff Grubb for a good example.) Here's a few ideas to get you started: Resistance 3: Get inside the head of a transformed alien Chimera who was once a human. What does he think of the events of the series? Dead Island: Tell the story from the point of view of a melee weapon the protagonists use in their zombie-slaying exploits. Or list some zombie-killing items not found in the game that should have been included. In Madden NFL 12: What plays do you call when you know you need a first down? What's the most dramatic ending to a game you've ever seen? What might the rest of the league think about the way you run up the score? (And don't try to deny it — we know you do.) Feel free to use any of those, or pick your own concept. Here's how to join in: 1. Write any article related to Resistance 3, Dead Island, or Madden NFL 12. It doesn't have to be long; a few hundred words will suffice, although you can go longer if you want. And you're welcome to do something non-traditional, too, like Jeff's comic linked above. 2. Make sure you tag your article with your chosen game. Don't forget to tag any other titles you mention, too. 3. Submit your articles to the Mobfeed by Sunday, Sept. 18. We'll post a collection of your work the next day. Sound good? Terrific. I'm really glad we had this chat, Bitmob. Say hi to your mother for me.
