GamesBeat Adding a shock collar to a Sega Genesis is a bad idea August 7, 2012 5:56 PM bitmob This post has not been edited by the GamesBeat staff. Opinions by GamesBeat community writers do not necessarily reflect those of the staff. Many stupid things begin with a poorly planned creative impulse. For two curious French gamers, creativity gave them a shock collar wired into a Sega Genesis. Yeah, that seems safe…and fun. The idea is that every time your character is injured in a game, the collar gives you a shock. I guess if you really dig negative stimuli while trying to get through a difficult level, a device like this has a few uses. For the rest of us sane and tender-throated people, we'll stick with thumb blisters and hand cramps as a punishment for playing poorly.
