David Ko is the head of mobile operations at Zynga. He most recently served as senior vice president of Yahoo!’s Audience, Mobile and Local businesses. Prior to this role, Ko led all aspects of Yahoo!’s mobile business globally, including strategy, product and monetization.
Jim Goetz is a General Partner at Sequoia Capital. He has helped create and grow a number of technology companies and product lines to market leading positions both as an entrepreneur and as an investor. He currently serves on the board of Appirio, Barracuda, Clearwell, eMeter, Jive, Metaswitch Networks, Nimble Storage, Palo Alto Networks, Sencha and Widgetbox. He was previously on the boards of AdMob (Google), Dash (RIM), PeakStream (Google), Peribit (Juniper), Rhapsody (Brocade) and involved with Timetra (Alcatel) and TopSpin (Cisco). Prior to joining Sequoia Capital, Jim served as a General Partner at Accel Partners. In 1996, he co-founded VitalSigns Software (Lucent) where he assembled and led the team that pioneered end-user performance management with Net.Medic and application and network performance market with VitalSuite. Within four years, VitalSigns grew into the market leader in network and application performance management software with $100M in bookings and 25M+ agents deployed. Prior to VitalSigns, Jim was the Vice President of Network Management for Bay Networks (Synoptics) where business segment revenues increased from $80 million to $396 million, Optivity’s market share grew to a dominant 51% and their embedded RMON market share grew to 43%. Prior to Bay and Synoptics, he held various product and marketing positions at AT&T and Digital Equipment. Jim has a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Mike Rayfield is General Manager, Mobile Business at NVIDIA. Mike has been with NVIDIA since 2005 and manages the Mobile Business (Tegra). He has been in the semiconductor business for over 25 years and held management positions at Texas Instruments, Cisco and an array of start-up companies. He received a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont.
Peter is head of marketing at Flurry, a leader in iOS and Android application acquisition, monetization and analytics solutions. The company serves over 35,000 companies across more than 75,000 applications, downloaded to more than 250 million mobile devices. Prior to Flurry, Peter led product marketing at mobile game maker, Digital Chocolate, helping build the company into a top-ten publisher world-wide. He joined Digital Chocolate from Electronic Arts, where he managed The Sims franchise, the #1 PC game of all-time. Peter spent the first seven years of his career in consumer packaged goods marketing. He holds a BS from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Tim brings a combination of operational, technical and international business experience to Norwest Venture Partners. Tim focuses on investments in mobile, gaming, digital media, and also leads NVP’s investment practice in China and Asia-Pacific. Tim’s venture investments have generated more than $1.3B in M&A exit value. Tim led NVP’s investments and serves on the board of directors in AdChina, PCH International, AllReach Media, Lumos Labs, Brite Semiconductor and 3jam. He also led NVP’s investments in BranchOut, a career networking application for social networks and social media, as well as in ngmoco (acquired by DeNA) and Playdom (acquired by Disney), two of the premier leaders in social gaming. Tim is a board observer working closely with Borqs, deCarta and Veveo.
Tim holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and an MS in electrical engineering/system engineering as well as a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. Tim is also an accomplished musician and currently performs with BlackMahal and Coverflow.
