They’re in! Meet the DEMO Fall 2011 Speakers

The fall DEMO conference is only weeks away, on September 12-14th in Santa Clara, Calif. and we’re excited to reveal our lineup. Aside from the 60-plus companies launching products, we’ve got some amazing speakers and “sages,” who will be providing feedback to the companies launching products.

The DEMO Spring 2010 conference ended today after three balmy days in Palm Desert, Calif. A total of 65 companies competed for the $1 million prize that was awarded tonight to eXaudios, which created call center software that could detect the emotional state of a caller based on the sound of the caller’s voice. But the conference wasn’t just about a Darwinian contest. Here’s a photo gallery that shows off some of the best sights and scenes of the event. Video player Kaltura adds 2 new partners, new monetization tools

Kaltura, a popular open-source video solutions company, is announcing two new partnerships this week: one with LongTail Video to bring that company’s popular open-source video player JW Player to Kaltura, and one with Artivision, a company creating video monetization tools. These partnerships have huge promise for open-source video, making it easier than ever to create, share, and monetize video around the Web.
