This is the sixth year that VentureBeat has cohosted these awards, along with GigaOm and TechCrunch. Over the years, the awards have grown to attract thousands of nominations and hundreds of attendees each year.

The event will take place Thursday, Jan. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Louise M.
