Box.net wants to work with enterprise app companies, starting with Salesforce
Document collaboration company Box.net announced new integration with Salesforce.com today, which will allow users to access Box’s shared documents directly from Salesforce’s customer relationship management (CRM) service.
This has been a big demand among Box customers, said chief executive Aaron Levie, many of whom are salespeople, and who previously had to jump back-and-forth between their Box and Salesforce accounts. Box.net buys Increo to incorporate collaborative document tools
Box.net, a provider of online filing systems, has bought Increo Solutions, a company that offers tools for teams to collaborate on documents and other media all online, according to PE Hub. Based in Palo Alto, Calif., Box.net brought in $12.5 million from U.S. Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Increo, based in Mountain View, Calif., took funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson as well.
