Fusion-io gets its power-saving memory cards into MySpace data centers
Fusion-io is announcing today that MySpace is adopting its power-saving flash memory cards across its huge data center operations.
The deal is a significant customer win for Fusion-io and an endorsement for its new way of storing data. It should garner more attention for the Salt Lake City-based company, which got a lot of notice earlier this year when Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak became its chief scientist.

Wozniak’s storage startup Fusion-io raises $47.5M more
Fusion-io, a company that wants to make data storage faster and cheaper, has raised $47.5 million in a second round of funding. It also announced a new chief executive, David Bradford, whose experience includes 15 years as an executive at networking software company Novell.
The company’s announcement notes that in Bradford’s last three years at Novell, he reported directly to then-chief executive Eric Schmidt (now CEO of Google). Not that Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io really needs… Continue Reading
