AudioMicro lands funds for stock music, sounds
AudioMicro, an online library of stock music and sound effects that can be downloaded for a small fee, announced today that it brought in an undisclosed amount in a first round of funding led by DFJ Frontier.

Getty Images extends empire into music, buys Pump for $42M
Getty Images has acquired Pump Audio, of company that has built up a catalog of 100,000 songs from musicians not signed with traditional labels, for $42 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Getty buys visual content co., MediaVast, for $200M
Getty Images, the large provider stock pictures, has agreed to buy MediaVast, of New York, for $200 million, to expand its archive with MediaVast’s database of photos and video and other services.
The Bloomberg story on the deal is here. Getty is based in Seattle, Wa.
Since 1999, MediaVast had raised almost $20 million in funding from Baroda Ventures, SBE Entertainment, Time Warner, QVT Fund and others.
