Intermolecular lands $20M to improve semiconductor manufacture

San Jose, Calif.-based Intermolecular, a company that streamlines the manufacture of semiconductor components, has raised $20 million of an expected $30 million fourth round of funding from CMEA Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Symyx Technologies and US Venture Partners.

Intermolecular, a new company located in the heart of Silicon Valley’s chip industry (San Jose, Calif.), has launched a technology it says will help semiconductor companies accelerate their research and development of new materials.

Intermolecular, a secretive nanotech company, raises $27.62M

Intermolecular Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based nanotech company, has raised $27.62 million in Series C funding, according to a regulatory filing cited by PE Week Wire (apologies, link not working). Return backers include CMEA Ventures, Redpoint Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners.

According to job notices on the site (such as this one), it is mixing chemistry, material science and semiconductors.
