Astro Gaming raises $3.5 million for gaming accessories business
It looks like earning street cred with gamers is worth actual money these days. Astro Gaming said it has raised $3.5 million in a second round of funding for its gaming headset and accessories business.

Sonos turns your iPhone into music player remote, streams new stations
Sonos, a company specializing in multi-room wireless music players, has launched an application that turns an average iPhone or iPod Touch into a remote control for its sound system. It also announced that its ZonePlayer product — which lets you set up wirelessly networked speakers throughout your house — has started streaming music from Internet radio stations Last.fm and Pandora.

Moving into web video communication, Logitech buys SightSpeed for $30 million
Logitech International has acquired Internet video communication firm SightSpeed for $30 million.
Switzerland-based Logitech, which makes computer mice and other peripherals, will get access to SightSpeed’s video calling technology. SightSpeed makes it easy to conduct video conferences between multiple parties over the web. The deal is subject to closing conditions and is expected to finalize in early November.
