Ringfree Mobility seeking round for Internet calling service

Ringfree Mobility is seeking a round of funding to expand its mobile Internet voice calling solution for smart phones including the iPhone.

The company is entering a crowded space, as Matt Marshall wrote last week in a profile of a couple of competitors, Fring and Nimbuzz. But Ringfree Mobility believes it has a user-friendly solution.

Mobivox raises $11M for yet another VoIP service

IDG Ventures Boston has led an $11 million first round of investment into Montreal, Canada company Mobivox, just the latest Internet telephone company that lets members make cheap or free phone calls around the world.

It  lets members make calls to a number of countries free and other countries at around 2 cents, similar to services like Skype and Jajah.
