Nexage raises $4m for mobile ad platform

Nexage provides a solution to tie mobile web, SMS, in-game and video advertising together into one advertising space. The company has raised $4 million in a first round that includes BlackBerry Partners Fund and Grand Banks Capital as investors. The company will also be relocating from Silicon Valley to Boston, an area with more mobile advertising companies and talent.

Nexage raises $4M to serve mobile video content

Nexage, a service that supposedly makes it easier to upload, manage and deliver mobile video content and advertising, has raised $4 million of an anticipated $4.5 million first round of funding in the form of preferred stock, reports VentureWire.

Based in Fremont, Calif., the company last raised capital in February 2008, bringing in $500,000 from various angel investors. Its lead product, PhoneCast Pro 2.0, came out last year, targeted primarily at broadcasters.

Nexage raises $500,000, launches new mobile video service

Mobile services provider Nexage has raised another $500,000 in angel funding, in part to deploy its new mobile video service, called PhoneCast Pro 2.0.

Phonecast is a mobile video service used by ten clients including top broadcasters, the company claims, to automate the process of uploading, managing and delivering mobile video content. Among other services, Nexage also offers a mobile video advertising feature, so advertisers and ad agencies can run ads within it.
