Quantenna channels $14M for HD home networking chips
Quantenna Communications, a provider of silicon chips for high-speed, wireless networking services, announced today that it brought in $13.85 million in a third round of funding to build its brand and expand its sales and engineering operations. Southern Cross Venture Partners led the round, which included Grazia Equity, Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners and Venrock Associates.

Quantenna, building a better wireless chip
Quantenna Communications, seeking to exploit the rising number of mobile device users globally, says it is building a better semiconductor chip for wireless signal transmission in phones, laptops and other devices.
The chip includes multiple inputs and outputs for wireless signal transmission, and will be smaller, less power-hungry and more reliable than what competitors currently offer, the company claims.
