Network storage company Agami shuts down — The Sunnyvale, Calif. company raised $85 million and competed against companies that went public, including 3Par. The shut-down was sudden, catching employees by surprise — apparently, a major debt-holder wanted its money back.

Tablus raises $16M for yet another content compliance software effort
Tablus, a San Mateo start-up that provides content protection software, said it has raised $16 million in a second round funding from Trident Capital and Menlo Ventures. It is one of many players in the area, which includes companies like PortAuthority, Vontu and Reconnex.
