Samplify Systems raises $6.1 million round for compression technology

Samplify Systems has raised a $6.1 million new round of funding for its data compression technology business. Investors include The Formative Ventures Emerging Technologies Fund.

The company is based in Santa Clara, Calif., and it makes compression engines that solve communications and storage bottlenecks in embedded systems. Samplify, an IP compression technology, raises $6.5M

Samplify Systems, a Menlo Park, Ca. company that provides compression technology that helps makes the transfer of large files such as medical imaging faster and more efficient, has raised $6.5 in a first round of funding.

Investors included Charles River Ventures and Formative Ventures.
