Concert recommender Songkick takes $4.6M

Songkick, a site that recommends concerts in your local area based on your preferred artists, has snagged $4.65 million of an anticipated $7.17 million first round of funding, reports VentureWire. The company also aggregates ticket information from 16 sites like StubHub, Ticketweb and Ticketmaster, allowing for one-click purchase.

Songkick adds a round to the tune of $1.1M

Songkick, a useful concert recommendation engine has closed a round of funding.

When we last spoke to the service, it was at the SXSW festival and it was very excited to launch its tools for helping music lovers find the shows they want to see. It also offers a distributed ad network which it cutely calls ‘BandSense’ (a play on Google’s AdSense).
