MK Capital finalizes acquisition of Kontiki from Verisign

MK Capital has completed its previously announced acquisition of content delivery network Kontiki from Verisign for an undisclosed price. The companies plan to announce the deal this morning.

As announced, Verisign is likely divesting Kontiki for a price lower than the $62 million it paid for it two years ago. Verisign to acquire wireless consultancy, inCode, for $52M

VeriSign, a Mountain View provider of Internet addresses and network services, has agreed to buy inCode Wireless, a San Diego company that provides wireless consulting.

The $52 million price was unlikely enough to provide a profitable return to inCode’s investors, which included Sequoia Capital. Venafi raises $5M to offer meta-encryption service for large companies

Venafi, a company that says it is the first to offer large companies a service that manages all of their encryption technologies, has raised a $5 million second round of funding led by Silicon Valley venture firm Foundation Capital.

This brings the company’s total to $16 million. Previous investors Origin Partners and UV Partners also participated in this round.
