EA confirms new Dead Space for 2013 fiscal year

Dead Space fans can look forward to more limb-cutting and space-themed scares. EA has confirmed that the will release a new title in the popular survival horror series during the 2013 fiscal year, which ends March 2013.

NAVGTR announces nominees for 2012 game awards

The National Academy of Video Game Testers and Reviewers (NAVGTR, pronounced “navigator”) announced its list of nominees for their 2012 NAVGTR video game awards. Voice actors Tom Sizemore and Tara Platt were on hand to present the nominations.
The organization plans to have a panel of game journalists and other industry folks debate the list and predict the winners during the PAX East festival this April. It will announce the winners shortly afterwards.

Video game players may have been too busy playing with their Christmas toys last month, as U.S. sales of video games fell 5 percent in January. Total sales of game hardware, PC games, console games, and portables fell to $1.16 billion from $1.22 billion a year ago, according to market researcher NPD. And January a year ago was down from the year before that.
