TicketsNow raises $34 million for event tickets onlie
TicketsNow, the Chicago-based online marketplace for reselling event tickets, has raised $34 million from a group of investors.
TicketsNow competes against players like Stubhub.com, RazorGator and TicketLiquidator.com, places where you can buy tickets for events from people who already have bought the tickets — and good ways to get into supposedly sold-out events.
Stubhub showed the potential of the market, when it was bought by eBay for $307 million last month.

PneumRx, device maker for lung cancer, emphysema, raises $27M
PneumRx, a maker of medical devices that diagnose and treat lung cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD, or emphysema), said it has raised a $27 million in a second round of funding.
Adams Street Partners and Telegraph Hill Partners led the round, which also included Sage Venture Partners. They were joined by all existing investors, including Alta Partners, KBL Healthcare Ventures and Spray Venture Partners.

Actelis, an ethernet over copper co., raises $22M more
Actelis Networks, a Fremont, Calif, company that offers telecom carriers a way of distributing ethernet over existing copper lines, said it has raised $22 million in a fifth round of venture capital.
The round was led by Adams Street Partners, and including existing investors ATA Ventures, Global Catalyst Partners, Dupont Capital, the Carlyle Group, Innovacom Venture Capital, Vertex, Walden International, New Enterprise Associates and Independent Venture Fund.
