Vyatta lands $10.3M for open-source networking
Vyatta, maker of open-source network software, has raised nearly all of its planned $10.3 million round of equity. It adds this amount to the $11 million in second-round funding it brought in two years ago from ArrowPath Venture Capital, Comcast Intractive Capital, Fuse Capital and J.P. Morgan Partners, reports VentureWire.

TriCipher, maker of software that assures the identity of users logging into online applications, just brought in $12 million in a fourth round of funding for further expansion. The San Mateo, Calif. company says it has already added 100 new clients in the past nine months. Larry Roberts, credited for co-founding the Internet (as developer of the early ArpaNet), has raised $12 million more in financing for his latest networking company, Anagran.
Roberts is swinging for the fences again, saying he has devised a new “flow-based” networking to get around the limitations of today’s Internet packet technology — something he says is needed for today’s massive transmission of of video, voice and wireless communication.

BlueRoads, a San Mateo, Calif. company that sells online software to large businesses to help manage their resellers and other third-party vendors, has raised $9 million in a third round of funding, according to Tech Confidential.
