Real-time search engine OneRiot rakes in $7 million
Real-time search engine OneRiot has raked in another $7 million in funding from existing investors Appian Ventures, Commonwealth Capital Ventures, and Spark Capital.
That brings the Boulder, Colorado-based company’s total financing to $27 million.
“It made sense for all of us to do this right now,” said Tobias Peggs, the company’s general manager, in an interview. “There’s an increasing and significant demand for real-time search results. This is a vote of confidence from our existing investors.”

Tungle nabs $5M for calendar syncing tool
It’s a big day for digital scheduling startup Tungle. It not only announced a successful $5M first round of funding, but also the beta launch of its free scheduling software. The Montreal-based company offers a hosted application for coordinating meetings with groups of people across companies, platforms and calendaring software.

ZoomInfo spins off its ad platform into Bizo, a new company
The business information search engine ZoomInfo has spun off its advertising business into a new company, Bizo Inc.
ZoomInfo started supplying the information it collects to other sites and advertising last year when it rolled out its ad platform. This allowed it to utilize the data it has on tens of millions of business people for ad targeting. This new company, Bizo, will extend upon that idea.

Monday deal fever: Fraud Sciences, Trolltech, E-Dialog, Anywhere.fm all acquired
A number of companies decided to compete with DEMO for media coverage today by announcing some rather large acquisitions:
Paypal ponied up $170 million for Fraud Sciences, which prevents online fraud;
Nokia paid $153 million for Trolltech, which helps developers build cross-platform applications;
GSI Commerce gave $157 million for E-Dialog, an e-commerce company;
Finally, Imeem bought Anywhere.fm, an internet radio service.

CRI Technologies riases $10M for virtualization consulting
CRI Technologies, a Shelton, Conn. company that offers consulting about to businesses about when and how to use virtualization technology, has raised $10 million in a first round of funding.
Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Sigma Partners co-led the round, the company said in a statement.
A portion of the funding was used for the acquisition of virtualization consulting company Computer Resolutions.
