Serious Materials puts together $60M for green building supplies
Serious Materials, a developer and manufacturer of green building materials like windows and drywall, announced today that it has brought in $60 million in a third round of venture funding. The Sunnyvale, Calif. company didn’t say how it plans to use the money, though it has been building up its sales staff in recent months.

Advent Solar, solar cell maker, to raise $70M in financing
Advent Solar, an Albuquerque, New Mexico solar cell maker is expected to announce a $70 million fourth round of financing, according to VentureWire (sub required).

Intellon raises $18M from Samsung, Intel & others for broadband via electrical outlets
Intellon Corporation, of Ocala, Florida, which makes chips to enable broadband access via electrical outlets has raised $18 million in financing from Samsung Ventures and a long list of existing investors: BCE Capital, Comcast Interactive Capital, Duchossois Technology Partners, EnerTech Capital, Fidelity Ventures, Goldman, Sachs & Co and Intel Capital.
