Element Labs snags $2M for large video displays
Element Labs, maker of massive light-emitting diode video displays used for concerts and other major events, has brought in $2 million of an expected $2.8 million round of equity, debt and rights, according to VentureWire. Based in Santa Clara, Calif., the company previous raised $12.75 in a first round of funding in 2007 from Expansion Capital Partners, Gold Hill Capital and Sierra Ventures.
CPower snags $10.7M to reduce corporate energy use
Energy management firm CPower, which helps businesses optimize their operations while reducing their energy use (and glean financial rewards for doing so), has raised $10.68 million in a second round of capital from Mayfield Fund (in its first energy investment), among others. The New York-based company will use the fresh financing to develop its technology offerings and expand to other regions.

Expansion Capital Partners ads $10 million to latest clean tech fund
Expansion Capital Partners, a San Francisco venture firm focused on investing in mid-stage clean technology companies, said it has added $10 million to the size of its latest fund.
The fund now totals more than $80 million. The new investment came from Palmshore Investments Ltd., according to firm’s statement, sent out yesterday.
