Easy app maker Sprout raises $5M
Sprout, the startup behind an easy-to-use tool for creating Flash applications, has been having a very good year. It launched in January at DEMO (where it snagged a “DEMO god” award), made its app builder publicly available in March, then released a bunch of new features in April. SpetraGenics raises $4.4M to remove hair, among other things
Medical device company SpectraGenics, an over-the-counter cosmetic device company still operating in secret, has raised $4.4 million of a $4.5 million fourth round of financing, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission cited by VentureWire (sub required).
Incubic Venture Capital, SDL Ventures and Global Venture Capital provided the financing, according to the filing dated Nov. 8. The company raised $6.2 million late last year, from InCubic.
