Healthcare software firm Picis raises $155M, acquires Lynx Medical Systems
Picis, a privately held Wakefield, Mass., maker of healthcare-software systems, raised a whopping $155 million in a private placement of convertible preferred stock and debt to Goldman Sachs & Co. and then used a portion of the funds to acquire a similar company, Lynx Medical Systems. Invarium, integrated circuit design company, to raise $10M
Invarium, a San Jose provider of hardware and software for the design and manufacture of advanced integrated circuits, is about to finish raising $10 million in a third round of funding, according to VentureWire (sub required)

Zoom raises $35M in VC for….vending machines?
Zoom Systems, the San Francisco start-up that sells electronics and other accessories in vending machines in airports and hotels, said it it has raised $35 million more in a fourth round of venture backing. The company has now raised a whopping $63.3 million.
