Eco-Products gobbles up $2M for compostable food items
With organic, locally-produced food items in high demand, it was only a matter of time before an enterprising startup or two took the next logical step: greening the supply chain. Eco-Products, a Boulder, Colo.-based maker of compostable food service supplies, has put the wraps on a $2 million first round of funding with Boulder-based Greenmont Capital Partners.

EcoTimber raises $4M for eco-friendly hardwood and bamboo products
EcoTimber, a San Rafael, Calif. maker of hardwood and bamboo flooring and environmentally friendly products, has raised $4 million from New West Capital Partners and Greenmont Capital Partners, both of Colorado.
The company announced its funding last week, and VentureWire followed up with specifics (sub required). The first round of financing helps it spin-out from lumber company Hayward Corp.
Organic seafood co., Blue Horizon, raises undisclosed amount
Blue Horizon Organic Seafood Co., an Aptos, Calif. supplier of seafood that it says comes from environmentally-sustainable sources, has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from Greenmont Capital Partners, according to PE Wire.
