Finjan raises $22M for web security
Finjan, which sells web gateway security products to businesses, has raised $22 million in venture backing. The San Jose, Calif. company says it integrates several security engines into a single appliance that can stop crimeware, malware and data leakage. The round was led by HarbourVest Partners, with participation from Benchmark Capital, Israel Seed Partners, Benhamou Global Ventures and Cisco.
BroadLight, supplier of passive optical network equipment, raises $12M
BroadLight, a supplier of “gigabit passive optical network” (GPON) semiconductors and software, said it has raised a $12 million fifth round of financing.
The round was led by Benchmark Capital, and included existing investors Azure Capital Partners, Broadcom, Cipio
Partners, Delta Ventures, Israel Seed Partners, Motorola Ventures, Star Ventures and
Tellabs.
BroadLight, of Mountain View, Calif., has raised about $50 million, but it is not yet profitable.

BroadLight, optical communications co, raises $12M more
Israeli optical communications start-up BroadLight Inc, which also has offices in Mountain View, Calif., has raised $12 million in its fifth round of financing.
Benchmark Capital led the round. Existing shareholders include Motorola Ventures, Azure Capital Partners, Delta Ventures, Israel Seed Partners, Star Ventures, Cipio Partners, Broadcom Corporation and Tellabs Inc.
BroadLight has raised $50 million since 2000.

Digital Fuel, a service level agreement co., raises $5M more
Digital Fuel, a San Mateo, Ca. company that sells software to businesses that helps them manage customer relationship commitments, has raised a $5 million fifth round of funding.
Investors include existing backers Apax Partners, Benchmark Capital, Israel Seed Partners and Sigma Partners, according to the company.
The company has raised about $40 million in funding since it launched in 2000
NextWave Wireless acquires mobile WiFI network co., Go Networks — at a loss?
NextWave Wireless, of San Diego, has agreed to acquire GO Networks, a Mountain View, Calif. mobile WiFi network provider.
It apparently comes at a loss for Go Networks’ investors, suggesting how competitive the WiFi industry is. According to the company’s statement, the purchase includes an initial cash payment of $13.3 million, plus up to $25.7 million in possible earnouts. NextWave also will assume around $7.46 million in GO Networks obligations.
