Airband books $3M for its fixed-wireless network

Airband, the Dallas-based provider of a fixed-wireless network for businesses, announced that it brought in $3 million in sixth-round funding from undisclosed investors to continue building out its existing network.

The nine-year-old company gives its clients access to broadband wireless data, voice over IP service, and other network management services. Currently, 3,500 businesses use Airband across 14 US markets.

OpSource scores $10M for on-demand app delivery

OpSource, provider of software-as-a-service and web applications for a variety of functions, just raked in $10 million in fifth-round funding from Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), Velocity Venture Capital, Key Venture Partners, Crosslink Capital and Artiman Ventures to continue expanding its software portfolio. Compensation software co. Xactly buys rival Centive

Xactly, maker of software that measures and tracks employees’ sales performance and compensation, has bought its major competitor, human resources software provider Centive. The stock-based deal gave San Jose, Calif.-based Xactly all of the company’s assets and employees for an undisclosed sum.

Airband Communications Holdings offers fixed-wireless services for businesses (not as the name might suggest, an online game involving virtual bands).

The Dallas, Texas company has raised $2.5 million from Key Venture Partners, M/C Venture Partners, Crescendo Venture Management, Dolphin Equity Partners and The Sevin Rosen Funds.

OpSource raises $15M for online software services, boasts potential IPO

OpSource, a Santa Clara, Calif. provider of application management and hosting services for online software companies, has raised a $15 million in a fourth round of financing.

The round was led by new investor Crosslink Capital, of San Francisco, with participation from existing investor Artiman Ventures, according to VentureWire (sub required).

Opsource, enterprise infrastructure Co., raises $20M in VC/debt

OpSource Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based developer of enterprise infrastructure operations platforms, has raised $20 million in private equity, venture leasing and credit lines, according to PE Week Wire.

Intel Capital led the Series C equity tranche, and was joined by return backers ComVentures, Artiman Ventures, and Key Venture Partners. Western Technology Investment provided the venture leasing, while Silicon Valley Bank extended an additional line of credit.
