Trinity Biosystems raises $7.5M bridge to treat endocrine disorders
Trinity Biosystems, maker of a drug that can treat certain endocrine disorders, has brought in $7.5 million in bridge funding from Amgen Ventures, Life Science Partners, Lilly Ventures, Sanderling Ventures and SR One, according to Dow Jones VentureWire. Based in Menlo Park, Calif., the company has raised about $33.75 million since its first round of financing in 2004.
Sans IPO, Bayhill secures $350M in Genentech licensing deal

Intradigm closes $21.4M for cancer therapeutics
Biotech firm Intradigm has tacked an additional $2.9 million onto its second round of funding, bringing its total to $21.4 million. The new money will be used to advance its RNA interference-based line of therapeutics used to treat cancer.
The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company says it distinguishes itself from others pursuing RNA interference strategies by also offering technology to deliver treatment to very specific locations within the body.

BioVeda China, an international VC fund focused on life science in China, raised $10 million from Lilly Asian Ventures, a spinoff of the Eli Lilly venture arm Lilly Ventures. The funds will be invested in local Chinese life-science companies.

Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, maker of imaging reagents, raises $26M for clinical trials
Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, a Philadelphia-based maker of “molecular imaging agents” that help highlight diseased tissue in various medical scans, raised $26 million in a third round to develop early-detection products for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
