Woven Systems, offering 10 gigabit switching for data centers, raises $20M
Woven Systems, a Santa Clara, Calif. developer of 10 gigabit Ethernet fabric technology for use in corporate data centers, has raised $20 million in a second round of funding.
Mohr Davidow Ventures led the deal, which included previous investors Goldman Sachs and Palomar Ventures. Woven Systems has now raised a total of $35 million in funding.

Google invests in biotech company, 23andme, to form genetic database

In one of the more eye-opening investment moves we’ve seen lately, Google has invested $3.9 million into a biotech company run by Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s new wife.
